Know exactly what
your IT is
costing you.
Most businesses have no clear picture of where their IT money is going, what’s actually at risk, and what’s quietly failing in the background. Our IT Review changes that — a senior engineer reviews your environment and delivers a written report with specific findings, real numbers, and a prioritised action plan.

A real review costs something. Here’s why that matters.
Free assessments are sales tools. Ours is a professional engagement — conducted by a senior engineer, documented in writing, and worth acting on whether you work with us or not.
The person reviewing your environment has years of engineering experience. That expertise has a value — and the findings it produces are worth far more than the cost of the review itself.
When something is free, there’s always an ulterior motive. A paid engagement means our engineer’s job is to find the truth about your environment — not to find a reason to sell you a contract.
You paid for it. It belongs to you. Whether you engage us, take the findings to another provider, or handle them internally — the written report is a professional deliverable you keep and own.
Businesses that invest in understanding their IT environment are the ones we work best with. A paid review means the conversation starts with mutual seriousness — not a sales pitch disguised as a favour.
Six areas. Every one with a direct impact on what you’re spending.
The review is structured around the areas where hidden costs, security gaps, and wasted spend are most likely to be found. Nothing skipped, nothing assumed.
Infrastructure & Endpoints
Every server, workstation, and network device — age, patch level, warranty status, and performance. We identify what’s overdue for replacement before it fails at the wrong moment.
Security Posture
Endpoint protection, email security, MFA enforcement, access controls, and patch gaps. We assess what an attacker would find if they looked at your environment today.
Backup & Recovery
What’s backed up, how often, where it’s stored, and whether it’s been tested. Most businesses we review have backups that have never been verified — they just assume they work.
Microsoft 365 & Cloud
Licence utilisation, security configuration, external sharing policies, and whether your M365 tenant is actively managed or just deployed and forgotten.
Licence & Vendor Spend
Every software licence, subscription, and vendor contract reviewed for redundancy, unused seats, and renewal dates. Most businesses we review are paying for things they no longer use.
Network & Connectivity
Firewall configuration, Wi-Fi coverage, segmentation, and whether your network is designed to protect your business or just to keep traffic moving.
From booking to written report — what to expect.
Four steps. Clear timeline. No ambiguity about what happens at each stage.
Book & confirm scope
A senior engineer contacts you within one business day to confirm your booking, discuss your environment, and agree on the review scope and timing.
The review — half a day
Remote or on-site. We review your systems, ask specific questions, and document everything we find. Your team doesn’t need to prepare — we work around your schedule.
Written report in 48 hours
A professional document covering every area reviewed — findings, risk level, estimated cost impact, and a prioritised list of recommendations. Yours to keep and act on.
Findings walkthrough
We walk through the report with you, answer questions, and explain the recommendations. If you want a proposal from us, we’ll build one. If not, the report stands on its own.
What people ask before booking.
How much does the IT Review cost?
Pricing is confirmed during the initial call and depends on your company size and environment complexity. A senior engineer will discuss this with you before anything is booked or charged — no surprises.
What do I actually get at the end?
A written report documenting every area we reviewed — current state, identified risks, cost implications, and a prioritised action plan. It’s a professional deliverable, not a slide deck with vague recommendations.
Does this commit me to working with Altech IT?
No. The report is yours regardless of what you decide next. Some clients engage us after seeing the findings. Others take the report to their existing provider. Others handle the recommendations internally. All three are fine outcomes.
How long does the review take?
The review itself takes roughly half a day — remote or on-site. The written report is delivered within 48 hours after that. The findings walkthrough is a separate 30–60 minute call scheduled at your convenience.
We already have an IT provider. Is this still worth doing?
Often more so. A second opinion from an independent engineer gives you an objective view of whether your current provider is delivering what you’re paying for — and where the gaps are. Most businesses we review have never had an independent assessment done.
